Literature Text

There is always a time,
I’m sure that you know,
When challenges meet quite a rise.

With this now in mind,
I’ll share you now,
How these troubles appear in my eyes.

How dreadfully sad!
How frightfully bad!
An odious problem for me!

This can’t be quite right,
I’ll put up a fight,
This work is more suited for three!

Please don’t mistake my outrage,
On this troubled subject of mine,
Its not that I feel I can’t beat it,
It’s just such a huge waste of time!

These piles and piles
Of sheer busy work,
Quite simply aren’t worth all their trouble.
And when the time comes,
For standardized tests,
How will this help fill in the bubble?

So,
When assigning
Those literary walls,
And challenges that seem quite obseen,

Just relax and look back, and,
Maybe,
Remember,
I certainly think this is
Mean!
This is a poem I wrote for an English assignment. We were supposed to write something that came from a specific voice of ours, and I choose my voice of a student.

I think its funny.
